Today my Optimist Group, South Metro Optimist, started their bi-annual garage sale. As was helping and shopping, I spotted an old cookbook from 1933, "All About Home Baking". It was written by General Foods and has lots of step by step pictures of baking and some fun color pictures.I enjoyed this picture which has the products in the cupboard with their 1930's designs.
I found a recipe that my mom always made for us when we were kids - "Old Fashioned Jelly Roll". Then by using that recipe, there are variations for a "Lemon Sponge Roll" that I would love to make.What fun looking at all these delicious recipes!
